Dr. Gregory Kirkland
Dr. Kirkland is originally from Crescent City, Florida where he graduated from High School. He then attended Valdosta State College for three years before joining the United States Air Force. After serving for four years, during the Gulf War, Dr. Kirkland returned to Valdosta State and completed his Bachelor's of Science in Health and Physical Education.
Since then, he has taught in Denver, CO, Jacksonville, FL, Crescent City, FL, Charlotte, NC and Clayton County Public Schools.
He has been with Clayton County Public Schools for the last eighteen years. While in Clayton County, he has served as a teacher, Special Education Department Chair at Jonesboro High School, and an Athletic Director at Morrow High School.
He was then promoted to Central office as the Academic Coordinator for Health and Physical Education. After that, he served as an Assistant Principal at Lovejoy High School. He is starting is sixth year here at Forest Park High School. He has three sons: Justice, 13, Levi 9 and Eli 7. He is an avid fan of The Alabama Crimson Tide (ROLL TIDE!) and the Miami Dolphins!
